You reading this text means you are interested in the wonderful world of veganism. Thank you. Not from us, but from your health, the environment and above all, the animals. They are suffering quite a bit (actually, a fucking lot) because of lifestyle choices people make every day. We’ve split the information we want to share with you into three main categories. Please feel free to research more on these topics as there is so much more knowledge out there. Remember that it’s all about starting somewhere. You’re not expected to completely change your life in one day. But with small steps, some changes here and there. Any little bit helps towards a better future. Don’t be too hard on yourself, just start wherever you can and be proud of yourself for waking up!

Animals

Some shocking figures to start off with: Over 56 billion farmed animals are killed each year for meat production. (That’s more than 153 million each day) This does not even include fish and other sea creatures whose deaths are only measured in tons. Over 100 million animals are killed for fashion each year. Over 100 million animals are being used for animal testing each year. Take a moment to really let these numbers sink in and know that probably more than 1 million animals were killed in the meantime.

Health

There is a whole lot of information out there. We would like to encourage you to use your common sense with all of it. Like with every diet, it comes down to balancing the right nutrients. All beginnings are difficult and yes, your trip to the store might take longer than usual at first, but once you get the hang of it, boy you will feel like the best version of yourself! And if you slip and eat some chocolate, don’t beat yourself up about it too much, and CERTAINLY don’t give up! Get your focus back and just keep swimming. For more information on this topic, the best tip we can give you is to watch “What the Health”. This documentary explains in a very simple and clear way all the health benefits of going plant based. Oh, and it’s available on Netflix.

Environment

Ignorance is bliss, they say. But the fact is that the results of global warming and environment bashing is here. We’re no longer talking future; it is happening today. Meat consumption is one of the main causes of deforestation and Co2 emission. We won’t rant too much, don’t worry. On this topic, we also encourage you to watch What The Health or Cowspiracy on Netflix.
